Hey-we don’t blame you, we have too. This is something of a Goldilocks situation-you have to figure out which one is just right for you! The bad news here is that the largest of the molds is the only one that is easy to find on Amazon. The medium-sized mold is the one I have in the picture above and it’s personally my favorite size. The largest mold is the one I used in my original Minnie Mouse PopSocket post. The largest is almost 7.5 cm from ear to ear, 5 cm across the head, and easily holds a full-sized PopSocket. The second is just over 6 cm from ear to ear, and 4 cm across the head, and can just barely hold a full-sized PopSocket. One is just about 5 cm measured ear to ear, 3 cm across the head, and it’s perfect for making mini PopSockets. I should also mention that I’ve found myself in possession of three mouse molds I’m using to make PopSockets. All you need is a quick press with your iron, just enough to get the HTV to release from the backing. Just be careful you don’t use too much heat. You can iron HTV directly onto the resin.
Regular adhesive vinyl would have worked perfectly, but I had trouble finding it in the shade of gold I wanted, so I opted for the HTV. It’s also worth noting that I ended up using heat transfer vinyl for this project. I used my digital cutter, but it’s such a simple shape that you can easily cut it by hand. Grab the image above to use as a template for your vinyl.

As long as you have waited a few hours the resin should be tacky enough to keep the PopSocket from shifting around. Carefully place PopSocket on the back of mouse head.

Dome the back of blue glitter mouse head and allow resin to sit for a few hours.Sand or cut off any rough edges, if necessary. Carefully remove mouse and bow from the mold.Stir blue glitter into the rest of the resin and pour it into the mouse head cavity of the mold.Stir red glitter into a small amount of resin and add it to the bow cavity of the mold.
